If you find your self procrastinating on a certain task, setting a pomodoro timer and committing to 25 minutes of solid work might be just enough to motivate you to start. After a few pomodoros I often find the breaks annoying and I’ll simply ignore them as to not break my flow state. It was however the pomodoro technique that got me into the state of flow but once I’m in a hyper-focused state, I can choose to abandon it ( until the next time I find my self ins a hyper-distracted state ).
